We all carry physical and emotional pain, from minor discomforts to overwhelming suffering. This dance installation gives form to pain through movement, exploring how we confront and live with it. Lili Stern embodies this struggle, interacting with inflatable “pain bags” in a visceral, evocative performance.

This immersive theater play explores the emotional struggle of leaving one’s homeland. Performers share personal stories about emigration, gradually revealing deeper, more intense experiences. Music and visuals accompany the narratives, building toward a shared moment of reflection and catharsis. Using Táp Theatre’s signature style, the performance invites the audience to connect deeply with a sensitive and timely issue.
Directed by Vilmos Vajdai
Vilmos Vajdai is one of the most versatile and hardest-to-categorize Hungarian artists. For nearly a quarter of a century, he has been a member of the world-renowned company of the Katona József Theater in downtown Budapest. He is the founding director and all-round operator of the alternative TÁP Theater. He was also a founding member of the music group Korai Öröm. He directs in both theater and radio, and was present in a similar capacity at the unconventional memorial service of his role model, Péter Halász, held at the Kunsthalle. He has composed and edited music for numerous theater productions and films. Even now, he is still active as a DJ.
